I'm planning a gallery blending aspects of Marilyn Monroe AND Goddess of Love, Aprhodite. What is the best name for it?

Just the F.A.Q.s, Ma'am!

Journal Entry: Wed Jun 11, 2008, 6:53 PM
You'd never guess, but I get a LOT of messages. No, really! :D The below "answers" have all come up, and when I notice things coming up several times a Frequently Asked Questions spot is called for... so here we go, kids! Wee-hoo! :cowboy:

:bulletred: COPYRIGHT LAW: These photos are *not* in public domain and will not be until 70 years after my death. [link] I am licensing them for creative use via Creative Commons Law: [link] At the bottom of this message and in each photo's comment area there are rules for usage to avoid any legal issues for yourself. On that note...

:new: :bulletred: These Photos are NOT stock. They have always been for my own personal use, to promote myself, my radio shows and various projects, and are still *actively* being used for that purpose. Stock Photography is "free for non-commercial use and requires NO PRIOR PERMISSION or royalty payments in order to use in derivative works." I require permission be given AND Attribution on all derivative works. [link]

:bulletpurple: I've been modeling since 1995, online since 1996, and Semi-Professionally since 1997. In that time I have had complete creative control over my costuming, hair, makeup, backgrounds, poses, etc. I also have Amateur photos going back to 1988 which I will be posting here as well, including shots from Special Appearances and Fan Art. :deviation: Between 2000-2005 I was the host of 3 different Internet Radio Shows, one Industrial (which made a feature in SPIN Magazine!), one Modern Swing, and finally the FIRST EVER internet talk show on Gaming (RPGs, Board/Card Games, MMOs, etc.). A Fourth Radio Show is currently in development: [link]

:bulletpurple: My Galleries are all available down the left hand side of my page here: [link] Just click on the Gallery & there you'll be. Keep in mind that each of my Galleries have 5-40+ photos *each*, but I'm only adding 3 photos per day to my D.A. site to pace myself, so you'll have to stay tuned to see them all at their full capacity.

:bulletpurple: I generally have over 400 messages in my cue at all times. People who post to every picture can expect not to get a reply to every post, but I reply to as many as I can as I time allows & I do read every message. Being that this page is here for artists, and I require artists to contact me before using my photos (see usage requirements below), I will reply to them with priority. I'll be more likely to reply to people who take the time to use proper grammar and spelling. (D.A. does provide spell check.) :star: AND VERY IMPORTANTLY... if you insist on acting like an unruly pre-schooler, I WILL block you.

:bulletpurple: The Almighty Corset [link] : It was made to measurement, and a *real* steel-boned corset, not a cheap one you can get at an everyday lingerie store. It was constructed for the purpose of waist training, like ladies did in the 19th century. At first the body fights against it, but once you get used to it it becomes *very* comfortable and you relax into it. I trained down in it, always lacing in the waist more tightly. I was in my corset 12 hours a day, and slept in a spandex "sleeping corset" overnight until I achieved a 16 inch difference from chest to waist and 14 inches from waist to hips (46-30-44). ...which is where I was at the time of the corset Galleries - Park, Pastel, GenCon, and, of course, Corset. I quit for health reasons *unrelated* to the corset, and now (while I can't wear it for training purposes), I can fit it comfortably laced as tight as it will go. (Which leads to...)

:bulletpurple: The Great Weight Loss of 2006: Enough of You noticed and you asked. Early in 2006 I lost my appetite - completely. As a result I lost weight *rapidly* throughout 2006. Not only did I not get hungry, but when I forced myself to eat, I couldn't eat much at all - it was like I'd had a gastric bypass. By the end of 2006 I'd lost 63 pounds. (photos - 2005: [link] and 2007: [link] ) Finally, *very* recently, my appetite returned, albeit small; I still can't eat much, or often, but it's there. I've presently evened out at a size 11/13 top, 9/10 bottom, 42-29-39, 36F Bra & those are measurements I'm QUITE happy with. :flirty:

:bulletpurple: The illusive tattoo: You asked... a lot, so here's a clear shot: [link] The Full-view, or Download view will help you see it much better. B-) I got it when I was 18 to cover up one I did myself as a teen-ager, and I have been wanting to have it covered over with something I *really* want now. I've been leaning towards a Chinese Dragon... but this is where it stands at the moment.

:bulletpurple: The NAILS: Between 2000-2003 I kept my nails appx. 2 inches long. Photo from '01: [link] The longest point was during the Witchy and Dead Bride Galleries when I grew them to 2 1/2 inches for that Halloween, 2000. Photo: [link] I cut them down in 2004 as shown by the 2005 photos: [link] In 2006, I cut them down completely, but since they've grown back to a length I'm happy with: [link] (May 2008 Photo.) To answer the question on many minds... they ARE real!

:bulletpurple: I don't do nudes. Not out of prudishness or insecurity; I enjoy viewing it, and drawing it, myself. I just realize that there is a glut of it available to the point where you can find it by accident. There is no more need for "one more" out there. I, for my own part, find leaving some to the imagination *much* more titillating, much more memorable, and extremely more glamorous.

:bulletpurple: I've gotten a lot of people asking about bikini photos and while I don't have any right now, here's the closest thing: [link] :D  (Which leads me to...)

:bulletpurple: I do not do requests! I have been modeling for 13 years now on my own terms, and so I intend to carry on in the future. I have far too many ideas, and as many galleries as I have, many ideas have been missed in the passage of time. I definitely welcome suggestions, as inspirations come from everywhere, but it will likely change as I add my own twist. My style changes on my artistic whim, but it will always be my own unique style - usually some silver screen glamour meets.... <enter some odd mix here>. In other words, what you see is what you get. B-)

:bulletpurple: I now have actual photos of my natural hair color, thanks to my Portraits Gallery! I'm not sure what the fixation is, but you asked. :D Here's my Mugshot: [link]

:bulletpurple: Yes, yes, I'm 34! Really. It's cool! ...and I haven't had any work done! Honestly, age is all relative; I've known 18 years olds who looked and acted like seniors and 50 years olds who partied and looked like 20-somethings. I don't think about it often (I get kindof confused when I do), nor am I defined by it. I make sure to look my best at all times; I'm sure that won't hurt in keeping my age into the future. Two of my personal saviors are Mae West, who didn't start her movie career until age 38, and Mamie Van Doren who in her mid-late 70s she's still modeling and *drop-dead gorgeous*. (Link: [link] ) From that perspective... I'm only just beginning, kids.

:new: :bulletpurple: On that note... When I say I haven't had ANY work done, I mean ANY. Yes... THEY are real. You can stop asking. ;-) Thank you.

:bulletpurple: I have placed my photos here because I enjoy creating them, because this makes a much easier, more interactive Gallery environment than my website or Fan Club, and for Artists to use with their creative muse (see below for usage terms). While it's a compliment to be asked, I am not here to find a date.

:bulletpurple: This is the only place where I am available for comments, and the posting system works well... so well I recently disbanded & integrated my decade+ Fan Club in favor of this format. I do not have a chat program that I can be contacted on, and I prefer it that way.

:bulletpurple: I will not reveal my weight because... I don't believe weight is a relevant or accurate means of description; it means different things to different people, since people differ in proportion. Weight in pounds cannot tell you where the pounds are held, or how they're carried. Also, as you can tell by my photos, my weight has varied throughout the years, but the top-heavy hourglass always remains. I have already given my size and measurements, and a picture says a thousand words.

:bulletpurple: I am not an advocate of size-acceptance. One, because referring to myself or anyone my size as "Large" is a falsehood, and completely unnecessary, when the average size of the American woman is a 14 and historically always has been [link] . Two, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, I do not approve of size acceptance *or any other movement* which requires approval or validation from an outside source - for anything. I am an advocate of *self-acceptance* (as a whole), because that requires no one outside of yourself, and *nobody* can give that to you or take it away. (See my journal "Why Not BBW?" Here: [link] )

:bulletpurple: Honey is my birth name. Accept no imitations. ;-)

:bulletgreen: I'll add more as more questions arise...

These photos ARE NOT STOCK. They are all © Honey 1996-Present. They are under a Creative Commons Attribution Non-Commercial License [link] and are for use *as follows*, so please read on. I'm sharing my photos for DA artists to use with - Photo Manipulations - Vector Art - Digital Art - Traditional Art, etc...

...like THESE pieces in my Featured Artwork Journal: [link]

RULES OF USING MY PHOTOS:
1. Send a note or drop a message to the photo to request a full-size download & get permission for usage.
2. Link back to me using my icon & give me credit.
3. Make sure I know when the finished work is done so I can get myself a copy & point everyone to it.
4. All art should be within DA Guidelines, as noted here: [link]

I think that's about it for now, thanks!

Cheers!

Gah! :glomp:

That means *so* much coming from you! :blowkiss:

My photographer and I are trying to work out scheduling issues. We had a *near* miss this past week. Tuesday he canceled Wednesday, and so I made plans... Wednesday, while I was away, he emailed me and told me I could come. :cries: So we JUST missed each other. I've got some outfitting for a new shoot... he has discs ready... we're working on it... just a matter of time.

I *so* can't wait to see what you do! :excited:

Love is like a friendship caught on fire, in the beginning a flame, very pretty, often hot and fierce, but still only light and flickering. As love grows older, our hearts mature and our love becomes as coals, deep-burning and unquenchable....Bruce Lee

... you mean this isn't where I can apply for a Mistress? Oh dear.

It's all good, Honey. We know you're an artist and a model, and a professional at both. So just keep doing what you're doing. :)

hehe! :D

Hm. :hmm: Where does one go to apply for a Mistress? *looks around frantically*. :plotting: ;-)

I've run across a lot of these same questions in my day (man I sound like an old bitty, ey?... "Why, in my day we used ta have all sorts a questions, Son..." :lmao:). I've answered them so many times over the years & so a FAQ seemed kindof necessary here w/ all the postages.

Thanks for the positive touch! I'm really glad I got talked into doing the modeling thing again; I really missed it! :D

Cheers to you! :ahoy:
